Model Watertube Boiler
This is an ongoing page about a small steam boiler plant that is under construction for use in demonstrating model steam engines. It will also double as a workshop boiler to test new engines.

At the moment this section will be mainly a photo gallery, since I am trying to be busy constructing the model. I am getting pictures as work progresses and this is a good place for some of them to reside. As time permits, I will try to add in explanations and comments.
It is difficult to show how the boiler plant will look eventually with a large metal stack, tanks and feedwater pump, all mouted on a base but I will keep updating these pictures as the model evolves.
Here is a shot of the boiler casing partly primed with red oxide and still showing the results of torch work on the front plate. It is very likely that the entire boiler and stack will be painted in high temperature flat black with small brass fittings for a "reserved" look.
